This webinar will work through the various taxation issues and commercial considerations that advisors need to be aware of, including:

  •  Income Tax – there are specific rules that can apply to such short term rentals;
  •  GST – is often a big unknown for clients who are not used to the issues and implications that arise with GST, especially when it comes to their primary home;
  •  Ownership issues – the implications of the above can be dictated by how properties are owned, we will cover off these implications and also highlight some issues if you are considering restructuring ownership of the property;
  •  Commercial considerations – a high level focus on issues such as insurance, council requirements and lending issues.
