Dr Karen Martyn

Karen Martyn moved to New Zealand from sunny southern California. She has worked as a management consultant for a top tier accounting firm, taught governance for the IOD for eight years, for the Commonwealth Association for Corporate Governance for six years and for Massey University for one year, and as a company secretary for societies, trusts and companies. She edited and contributed four chapters to Corporate Governance – A Practical Handbook, a governance book filled with templates, guidelines and examples for SMEs. She works as a governance advisor, a locum company secretary, and change manager, applying behavioral insights and design thinking to improve group decision-making.
