Understanding Neurodiversity in the Workplace 2024 - 8 February 2024 (On Demand)

Description

Everyone’s brain is unique and many people’s function in quite similar ways meaning they are neurotypical. However, around 20% of the population, have neurodiverse brains, meaning their brains function differently.

Common neurodiverse conditions include autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and Tourette’s syndrome.

It is estimated that nearly 50 percent of neurodiverse people are unemployed and finding work, and then keeping it, can be hard. Being different, not fitting in and working in different ways, can often get them fired from job after job because people simply misinterpret their behaviour.

In this webinar we will help employers and co-workers understand neurodiversity and recognize how to make the workplace environment more welcoming to someone who is neurodiverse.

We will go over some practical ways companies can support their neurodivergent staff and understand some of the triggers and stressors that can affect neurodiverse people.
