PRESENTER

Dr Karen Martyn, Governance Advisor,  DocMartyn Ltd

Karen Martyn immigrated to New Zealand in 1989.

She worked as a management consultant for a top tier management firm, then started teaching directors what they need to know about HR to govern safely, earned a PhD and Chartered Secretary qualification, taught governance for the IOD, the Commonwealth Association for Corporate Governance, Massey University’s MBA program, CCH webinars, and served as company secretary and governance advisor for societies, trusts and companies.

She edited and contributed four chapters to Corporate Governance – A Practical Handbook, a governance book filled with templates, guidelines and examples for SMEs published by CCH.
